Purple Resorts Auroville Pondicherry (Review, Booking, Photos)

Purple resort and cuisine is located away from the main city. It is located near Auroville area. The best part about the resort is the very well maintained swimming pool and very big and luxurious rooms. The rooms are well furnished and has a microwave and some utensils if you would like to make a small and quick meal for self. The restaurant has a bit of limitation in terms of the varieties of food available. The staff is very cooperative.

I have stayed here twice and can share some tips

1. Book this place via Goibibo and get a great package!
2. Located right on the Auroville Main Road and very close to Auroville Township
3. Plenty of local restaurants are available nearby.
4. Swimming pool here is very good.
5. Weekends will be crowded.
6. I could see, most of the guests were couples.
7. Almost all the rooms are having balcony with great views towards the cashew land.

Most important: Purple resort is located near Auroville and it comes outside the union territory and in the state of Tamil Nadu. Also bar is not available near Auroville area. So if you have plans to booze, get the liquor from Tamil Nadu. Carrying liquor from Pondicherry is illegal and you may get caught at the check post.
